Trend Alert: Babe Bangs.March 30, 2016 2:12 pm
Bangs, much like Facebook photos, never really go away. Girls who look hot refuse to let them fade into oblivion, while those who find them unflattering attempt to drown the trend with cuts they like better (and silently pray for a “delete forever” button).
Haters, rejoice. This season, bangs are (obviously) back again, but they arrive hand in hand with another long-awaited trend: natural texture. Yes, that means there is banging bang inspo out there for curly, fine, wavy, coarse and short-haired girls, too.
Trust. You will be a babe with bangs.
Curly bangs are actually having a huge moment, styled smoothly into layered shag cuts. To embrace this look, you truly need to commit to your curls. Invest in a defining cream and a diffuser; our Black Orchid works miracles on particularly thick or unruly hair. Let your hair air dry partially, then work the cream through, massage it with the diffuser and finish it off with a light texturizing spray.
Blunt, Jane Birkin bangs are the way to go for thick, coarse hair. I know; styling straight-across bangs generally requires a small army of sprays, gels and tools. But this season, imperfection is the goal. Rub some mousse in there then blast it with our Verona dryer and you’re literally off-the-runway #hairgoals.
If you, like me, took the plunge for the lob last year, let me introduce you to the microbang. Does it bring back memories of the 90s? Yes. Will it significantly up your chic street cred? Yes. And is it insanely easy to style? Obviously. A reliable flat iron (our mini Jet Set is ideal for short strands) and a light hold gel are the only investments this look requires.
For finer strands, long, sweeping curtain fringe looks laid-back cool and requires zero effort in the post-shower department. Low-maintenance and on-trend. That’s a win-win.Сomments аrchive
