The Nipple: to Free or Not to Free?February 28, 2016 10:03 pm
Remember when Janet Jackson had a nip slip and the world just couldn’t even? That was a decade ago, and the nipple is still the most controversial of all body parts, to the point of inspiring its own Instagram hashtag. That’s Kardashian status.
Here’s the thing about nips: we’ve all got them. So what’s the big deal?
Men and women also both have legs. But man legs are oft a horrifying sight to behold in short shorts, whereas a woman armed with a killer miniskirt can expect a slew of free drinks headed her way on any given Friday night.
Same goes for the nipple. Men brazenly bare their chests because, let’s be honest, nobody cares. Women’s bodies are inherently beautiful and we should by no means make apologies for that; we should be aware of it, and flaunt it. We are sexier, ladies. We are the better-looking gender.
Our suggestion for a stylish nip slip? Treat it with the same rules you would use to approach cleavage or lots of leg. Balance is key: try a sheer top with a maxi skirt or high-waisted pants. While ideal for a night out or a special date, we are not proponents of transparent tops in the workplace or at baby showers, engagement parties, and other related family functions.
If you’d like to unleash your nips but need to ease into the look, try starting with a delicate lace bralette beneath a sheer top, or go braless with a gauzy, dark colored blouse. Before long you’ll be all, “what’s a bra?” and the epitome of Free Nip Chic.Сomments аrchive
