Some days, particularly those during which important parties or hot dates are scheduled, I casually wake up with the kind of naturally tousled bedhead curls that can only be described as “Victoria’s Secret Show Fab”.
Just kidding! That has literally never happened even once. Each morning, no matter how my hair was styled the night before, I wake up looking as though I’ve just run a 5k through inclement weather. With holiday party season upon us, the struggle is particularly real.
Whether your idea of fancy hair is a collection of haphazardly placed bobby pins or you waterfall braid your locks on the daily (and, if so, you deserve a certificate of excellence), we’ve gathered a collection of on-trend hair inspiration that any girl can achieve without the dry bar.
The slicked pony is a revelation in lazy-girl chic. Best sported with a busy or voluminous outfit and clean makeup, you can achieve this straight-from-the-runway look by running your Black Silk flat iron through your hair, getting a little crazy with your flexible hold gel, and smoothing hair into a mid to low pony. If you want to kick it up a notch, try wrapping the hair tie in gold ribbon.
For the intermediate hair stylists, grab your 5-in-1 curler. Loose, undone curls are always a hit and impossible to mess up because, let’s be honest, the point of the look is kind of “messed up curls”. Interchange barrel sizes for a professionally unkempt vibe, and finish off with a sea salt texturizing spray instead of a shine serum. Slept-in is the goal.
When all else fails, accessorize! Refer to our post on tiaras because yes, they’re appropriate for all dress-codes. Or find yourself a pretty headband or a handful of elaborate clips and adorn yourself in decorations. There’s no such thing as too much bling.Сomments аrchive
