How much do you love your hair? We hope a lot. We love ours for its expression — we get to change it, style it, and play with it to project what we want the world to know. Whether it’s long and luxurious, big and bold, or up in a bun, it’s saying something. What about yours?
This Charity Day, your hair can say something bigger. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hair pieces for children who’ve lost their hair to medical conditions. They accept donations, so consider getting yourself a big (as in meaningful) cut.
Here are the requirements:
- At least 10 inches in length (when cut). Curly hair should meet this length when pulled straight, and layered hair should reach this length with its longest layer.
- No bleach or highlights. Colored, dyed, and permed hair is okay.
- Completely dry hair.
Ask your hair cutter or stylist to pull your hair back into a ponytail and cut above the elastic. Place it in a sealed plastic bag and mail to:
Then, style your short new ‘do and spread the word!
